Consumer confidence index increased by 2.2% m/m in April 2016

The consumer confidence index calculated from the results of the consumer tendency survey carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey increased by 2.2% in April compared to the previous month, while the index was 67 in March, it increased to 68.46 in April.

Financial situation expectation increased by 0.2%...

The financial situation expectation of household index increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month. The index which was 89.77 in March became 89.97 in April. This increase resulted from the increase in the ratio of people expecting better financial situation of household in the next 12 months period.

General economic situation expectation increased by 1.8%...

The general economic situation expectation index which was 89.41 in March increased by 1.8% and became 91.02 in April. This increase shows that number of consumers expected a better general economic situation in the next 12 months increased compared to the previous month.

Expectation for a decrease in the number of people unemployed increased...

The number of people unemployed expectation index increased by 1.9% compared to the previous month and became 69.11 in April. This increase stemmed from the increase in the ratio of people expecting a decrease in the number of unemployed persons in the next 12 months.

Probability of saving increased by 13.1%...

The probability of saving index increased by 13.1% from 21.01 in March to 23.75 in April. This increase shows that the possibility of saving of consumers in the next 12 months period increased compared to the previous month.
